Christmas Down Under

Merry Christmas everyone………………..thought you might like some sunshine.

I took this this Christmas morning so you could see what it is like to have a Christmas in Oz.

Sorry it is so is a walk around my backyard.

Excuse my terrible accent…cross between London and Oz.

Have a great Day.

really enjoyed the stroll round your garden and the vibrant blue sky.

  4. Star says:

Thank you vegg, mick and lizzy.
It is too hot to do much out there this time of year unless it is early morning in the evening. Heading for 38º again today. But I will hide indoors and watch the Boxing Day test match.
I have had quite a good supply of Toms this year too Liz…..but think I will only grow winter into spring in future.

Thank You Star for a lovely trip around your garden, I could almost feel the heat, it’s a bit different here very wet and murky but it’s not too cold thank goodness, how ever we are not flooded so that is a bonus. Wishing you all a Happy Christmas and New Year.

  8. Have just had a walk round your garden Star, thank-you what a lovely garden, and good to see some sunshine :) very different from mine! especially in what has been a very wet few days! It gave me hope for a good summer here, :)

Hello Star. I hope you had a lovely Christmas. Your dinner looked good on FB! Thankyou for sharing your garden and bringing us some sunshine to brighten up the wettest year in decades. Perhaps we could swap a bit of your sun for a few showers for your plants! A lovely garden and some beautiful hibiscus and exotics and I loved the cannas. Happy Gardening in 2013 and enjoy the Test

A splash of sunshine Star to brighten up some grey, rainy skies here, thank you! Your garden reminds me of the garden I had in Miami even down to the shape of the pool. It’s beautiful and a credit to you :)

We dream of any kind of sunshine here Sylvia, it’s been in short supply this year, so it was lovely to enjoy a bit of yours. Thankyou.

    • Thanks for the stroll round your garden Star, it is a credit to you, it must be quite a job to keep up with watering with your temperatures and all your pots. Its nice to see some nice sunny weather for a change.
Hope you had a good Christmas and all the best for the new year.

  13. Star says:

Thank you Cilla,Hayley, Elizabeth and SS.
Luckily today we have some cloud which is keeping the temps down a bit, my plants have suffered in the heat especially the Hibiscus whose older leaves have turned yellow and I am sure they will fall to the gound soon….still as always in the garden, there is life after death. The petals on some of the Frangipanis have been burnt…I will put a photo on my summer album.

  16. Star says:

    Thank you Sue and Karen.
Karen you wouldn’t want to feel the heat we have been having and this weekeend it’s 40º both days.. I am not looking forward to it, but I have to go out and get the winning ticket in the 30million lotto draw tomorrow.

How lovely. A beautiful garden and a sunshiney day to take away the dark gloom of the UK winter.

Totally over-awed by the labour you must undertake every day to keep all those plants in pots alive in that heat. But was lovely to look at, and well worth the effort to gladden the eyes of all your friends in grey, gloomy and dripping Britain.
