Spring garden at Chapel house 2017

I have been really pleased with some of the plant combinations in the garden also some of the flowers. I do try and plan the planting but being a plantaholic and also letting the garden do its own thing to a certain degree it can be very random, but it does fit in with the cottage style. The garden still still needs tweaking here and there and possibly more plants!!!

These pics are all from the large border in the garden, not bad really for  it’s second year. It had a good mulch in the autumn.

  2. Thankyou Karen, think the Fenn soil has something to do with it also! But it is good to see it looking so full and colourful :good: :-)

What a joy, Lynn! It’s so lovely to see all these flowers to reward your work – and I was particularly glad to recognise the erysimum “Paintbox”which I bought a couple of weeks ago, to propagate from. They are very worthwhile plants these erysimum – flowering for months, and never becoming invasive. Looking forward to lots more blogs……
