Peonies were amazing …

… and such big blooms!

Are these all Rhododendrons, or Azaleas … I cannot yet tell the difference?

This Algae was amazing!

Greylag geese kept the grass plucked with their healthy, green diet.

I so wanted this for Blue Hill, but thought of the foxes trampling over it … nuff sed!

There was so much to see in the short time we stayed.

Pink Rhododendrons were buzzing with bees …..

… as was the little field of Daisies and Alliums at the entrance/exit by the A3.

… and let’s not forget other white flowers … everything touched by drought …..

… especially the giant Rhubarb, Gunnera.

This Yucca surprised me.

I was tickled to see how the orange cane fence, marching through the pansies, [last visit, just sticks,] was sprouting.

There was more:- Greylag goslings, welcoming Rhododendrons [ Azaleas?] reflections in the lake …..

… and did I mention the ubiquitous ducks …

… and I always enjoy the Carrot Cake.

Was sitting here wondering what on earth Roygbiv is – when suddenly it hit me like a thunderclap – the colours of every rainbow. This blog is well named, and I enjoyed your photographs immensely Anne. I don’t need to get out anywhere, when I have people like you and all our other bloggers doing it for me.

  5. Lovely, Anne :-) I think I went there when we lived in Brighton but I can’t remember. Anyway, your pics really do the gardens justice :rose:

Very colourful gertie, I was going to take my peony out as it take up quite a bit of room but the blooms are so nice. :rose: :good:

They are large, spreading plants aren’t they, but so luxurious Dixon. :good: I didn’t realise that there are now so many different styles and colours  :silly: as Dad’s were simply double red [60 years ago :silly: ] and I have not grown them since. What type and colour do you have? :rose:

Am not sure they do Jane, but thank you anyway. :-) We pop by whenever we can because it is often en route from other visits, and this way we get a decent refresher, and enjoy the gardens without the hassle of taking the whole day to get to and from them … I love it there…any excuse :rose:
