Spring into March

Spring into March

I took my camera en route to the Surgery this morning, specifically to photograph the delightful array of daffodils on the green at the top of our road.

In little front gardens, behind low walls, I passed colourful blossoms indicating the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring time.

Red Camellias were blooming last week, but I like the new sugar pink ones …. then there were Primroses ….

… and Mahonia and Forsythia mingled in the morning sunshine.

Over the Church wall shone Blackthorn blossom.

Autumnal Beech [?] still clung sunnily to golden glowing leaves.

There were all sorts; a riot of colours in the morning sun.

After being declared to have a more or less clean bill of health, and encouraged to exercise and enjoy the forthcoming holiday in the sun, I happily crossed over the road on my walk back home, to snap the signs of Springtime on the other side.

Just look at all the colours!

Lovely sky:

lovely leaves and blossoms:

lovely berries and birds:

lovely scents too.

Back across the Green with Daffodils …..

… and on down our road to home again.

In Gertie’s Garden, Goldfinches. and blooming Ribe blossoms.

That was a satisfying walk in the morning sunlight.

Crystal Palace looks like a really good part of London, Anne. I did not realise it was so uncramped. Wonderful to live within that space and yet have access easily to all the amenities of the capital. I should think your vegetation must be nearly a month ahead of ours at the moment – great photographs.

  3. You’re way ahead with spring, Anne!! What a lovely walk and glad to hear you’re ok and looking forward to a holiday :notacloudinsight:
