A Little Walk Around the Nature Park.

A Little Walk Around the Nature Park.

Joy oh joy! We saw this beautiful Comma butterfly on an old Teasel plant. There were proud parents with at least six baby Goslings … tall, tall, Umbellifers …. and was that a Cormorant? Yes! … and this time a pair of Herons on the island across the water.

Blackberry, very pretty Blackberry blossoms were all around, much loved by Bees … and on the way towards the exit …

Just look at the sunlight through the trees onto the tree trunk! Gorgeous!

… and there was still some Alkanet by the Exit Gate.

Anne … June 28th, 2019.

PS Can anyone identify this flower please?

What a lovely walk Anne, it has quite cooled me down :-) Your umbellifer may be wild carrot and the mystery flowe is, I think, water mint….it doesn’t have to grow in water. Some great photos, especcially the comma.
