Morning all, what a relief to open the Curtains and see the Snow was well melted, only the big Piles to go. Got a Friend coming for Lunch, so going to use up my old Veggies, and left over Juice from a Tin of Tomatoes, to make Tomato and Vegetable Soup. But before that must make out my List for Sainsburys, getting very low on Supplies. Have been putting out every Scrap of anything for the Birds, have not done it before as Neighbour said it encouraged Rats. This Winter must have saved a lot of Birdie Lives and less Landfill. We do not have the Landfill here we thought we had to to human Error, so Neighbour must take it up with the Council, unless I see any Rats. Really trying to think of more ways to help the Enviroment all the time. I get Milk delivered in Plastic Cartons, why can’t they go back to Glass? Better get to work. have a good Day all. Tina x

    • Hallo Tina … It’s a toss up between rats and birds ennit … I think Rats are incredible critters but am told I don’t need them here as there are little children about etc etc so ….. :bad:
It’s bright and :sun-clouds: at the mo and the warmth is very welcome, it will dry the floors, but for how long? …… HAGD :rose:

    • we still have a milkman so milk comes in glass bottles then wash them and put them out for the next day, same with egg boxes in that milkman keeps chickens so our eggs from from him and the egg boxes go back and fro each week to be re-filled. I grew up in a house with 4 of us there, we had one metal dustbin, empted each week, and that bin contained everything we had to get rid of each week, including ash from the fire, paper bags were re-used, string was, jam jars and pop came in glass bottles which had a deposit on them, as children we used to scour the hedgerows looking for pop bottles that we could take back and get a bit of money from them for sweets
