All’s well in my world – and it feels even better cos I can see that Jane is back with us. Had an early start with Toenails yesterday to cover a clinic previously covered by a friend who has resigned. Unsurprisingly, there are not many people who want to do this work, and I am still vaguely surprised to find myself doing it. I’m going to chop and freeze ice cube trays of parsley today for the winter. Last year I forgot to do this, and was sick with myself every time I needed to buy those attenuated and flavourless pots from the supermarket. Am also debating whether to take the courgette plants out so that I can sow green manure seed in the whole area of the fruit cage. Cannot hear any members of the family beseeching me to spare them, so they may be sacrificed. We are having showers up here today – and I hope everyone gets some, and has a damp day.

    • Morning Sheila :-) This week I must sow lettuce for growing indoors for small leaves over the winter. Won’t pull my courgettes up just yet but I must say, I don’t feel quite the same attachment to them this year – probably for having to go away so much recently. Haven’t been outside yet – just finishing a coffee. A shame to hear you’re losing clinic friends – hope the clinic service survives. Have a good, damp day!

    • Morning Bean. I hope you do get new toenail recruits. Our doctors used to have its own podiatrist which was really useful but they stopped letting him cut people’s toenails so he left and went private :-( I have no room to sow green manure this year so will have to buy bagged manure. Have a lovely damp day :-)
