Thank you Lynn, it’s never that I don’t want to talk, it’s more that ‘things’ get in the way, for example, ‘could you just’ and ‘have you got a minute’ ;-) I think I need to affirm the negative a bit more!

I think I saw that one one at the show Sheila, the ‘Illumination’ series? This one was a little smaller. I just hope the rabbits don’t like it!! :fingers-crossed:

It’s botanical name is ‘Digitalis Foxlight Ruby Glow’ Jane. They say it’s a half hardy perennial and it has ‘unique, two-tone coloured florets produced on dense flower spikes that continually develop throughout the summer’. Good for bees too! :good:

Good evening all. :-) Allsorts in the garden today. I’ve never seen so much wildlife coming and going and interacting and the result of having two wild Mallards as friends means I have few slugs and snails. Couldn’t believe Jemima yesterday, she consumed a whole snail including the shell! Today I caught her eating a slug as you can see, whilst…

Good morning all :rose: Back now from GW Live :rose: Good show again and my friend achieved a silver gilt for her ‘beautiful border’ show garden. :high-five: Just a few plants slipped in my trolley…and this morning I found this 16 spot orange lady in my bathroom, favourite food? Mildew! Might just leave her to get on with the job :good:

    • Quite a beauty, Hayley :good:

    • Plant me, plant me, again and again…. Lovely! What’s the one on the far right?

    • The one on the right is digiplexis – I know because I have had my eye on it for a few weeks. It’s a cross between digitalis and Isoplexis from the Canary Islands. The virtue of the cross is that it produces flowering spikes from late Spring until first frosts. The flowers are sterile, but the plant is perennial and is increased by division.

    • Hello Hayley, well done to your friend :good: your flowers look lovely. Good to have you back :rose:

    • … Unusual too :rose:

    • Bravo Sheila … and bravo to your Silver Gilt friend too Hayley :rose:

    • Thanks, Sheila!

    • Most unusual.

Evening all ;-) A quick hello before I head up the wooden steps  It’s been a frustrating day…my newly planted spinach beat has been nibbled by the squirrel I think and baby rabbits are having a field day with my annual bedding :nailbiting: One ray of sunshine in the border is this beautiful single white Aquilegia though…I think it came…

You’ve come a long way since diggers and destruction Jenn, well done, it’s looking fabulous :-) The fence colour is a great foil for the green, did you paint both sides?

  • Nature’s Gift, worm cast concentrate has just arrived so we’ll see how we get on with it. Might be a bit of a challenge not spraying the flowers :dunno: and it’s recommended you use only rainwater as the chlorine in tap water kills the active microbes.
