Morning clickers :-) more grey here but it may brighten later. We have about 6 baby wrens – so sweet but the mother is so noisy! Work to finish but will be outside later. Something has eaten one mansarno tomato plant outside – grrrr and slugs had the kale I was growing for salad leaves. One of those years, methinks… Hope you all have a good day :-)

    • Morning Jane, nature does test us gardeners. ;-) Great news on the baby wrens though. :good: Hope you get that work done quickly and get out. :good:

    • What is it with adult birds at this time of year? Obviously they need to protect their nests and the young inside – but nothing is dafter than my two blackbirds shrieking and dive-bombing Alfie when he is flat out asleep – and too well fed and lazy to consider the exertion of hunting even if it was cool. You would think that having observed Alfie and his lazy ways over the year, they would temper their behaviour accordingly. Are (were) you growing monsanto or marzano tomatoes?
