I loved this video Tony – it has quite cheered me up in a dark moment. So much ingenuity, so much humour packed into them. Personally, my favourite was the figure reclined on the bench, simply because that’s how […]

Hard winters up north mean the wrens are stronger in Scotland:

I was thrilled to see all those bullfinches and thrushes Karen. Did it sound wistful? Not at all, I absolutely hate the village nowadays, new estates, masses of traffic and nowhere to park! I certainlyvwouldn’t […]

Good morning clickers :bye: Am pleased to be fully restored to internetty shenanigans :yahoo: Survived the Halloween sleepover and am only marginally knackered today. Thought I would catch up with myself yesterday but what with having the sleepover boys until 11, homework, cooking the dinner and having to help Finn make some Mary Berry…[Read more]

Good On Bernard for going AWOL from his care home.
Am glad his spirit is as strong as ever. He wanted to go to the D day celebrations, got himself dressed, medals adorned and off he went. Caught the ferry to stand next to his Normandy brothers in arms, he gets my vote.-
they dont ask for much,so why be refused in the first place….i enjoyed his plight

It was a moving story wasn’t it Paula
What a hero
-
strong willed and determining
-
…and, like us [for that read Dom and I] as we age, a tad forgetful too, about immediate needs
Apparently he omitted to tell his wife that he was popping out….can’t help thinking there’s more to that than forgetting
-
What does it say about the care home, they missed him for that long? He was too late to be included on an organised trip for some reason, so he did it by himself –
-
Apparently they couldn’t get a seat for him
…all full

For first time ever I clicked on My Favourites (to see what was in there) – and had great difficulty getting out of it again, and back to Clicks. Only solved by logging off, and logging in again. Has anybody else experienced this?
-
Just tried it …i clicked on all members once i had gone to My Fav and then refreshed the screen by clicking on the Clicks tab. I found by just clicking on the clicks tab it just refreshed the My Fav page i was on.
Any help Sheila -
yes had that happen
, as simon said you have to click on to —- ALL MEMBERS —- to get back out of your favourites
-
Spot on Simon and Lizzy, the row of tabs near the top of the clicks page act as a filter on the list of clicks, so that you can find things more easily. By default it shows “all members” so that you see everything. But if you select, “My friends” then it will only show you clicks that from your list of friends. So you need to remember to go back…[Read more]

Just repeating, “Go back to All Members” twenty times. Another thing I have noticed when logged out, is that I can’t have a glance at Clicks to see what is going on in passing, without logging on.
-
The clicks page should show when you are logged out Sheila. But you won’t get the right hand panel with your notifications etc. Goodness manners, afternoon Sheila.
-
It usually does show Karen as you describe – but not today. Good afternoon to you too BTW.
-
Going to get highly techie here – it’s having a tantrum.

The same thing has happened to me, when I went to mentions.
-
Ummmm, If you can’t get back to “All members” clicks, would you let me know what browser this is happening on please? I’ll try and replicate to see what is going on.

Morning Jenn, surprised you haven’t gone back to bed.
Have a lovely day – think you deserve it.
Morning Karen
I would have gone back to bed but the OH is being really annoying and tidying up around me. We very lazily left the kitchen to look after itself last night to tackle today but he started huffing and puffing and putting stuff away around me so I have retired to the front living room and am ignoring him
I would go back to bed Jenn – much easier to ignore annoying husbands with your head under a duvet – and with any luck he will have finished the clearing up by the time you re-surface and may have retired to his den/office with a martyred expression.
I would Bean but the hoover has now been fired up. Luckily I have the patience of a saint
Earplugs,
I’m sure you’ve got a good book to read, Jenn
and good morning to you! I suppose you’re planning for Nov 5 now
Morning Jane – I surely do – a country house murder mystery from the mid 30’s – and now we move on to Christmas
Am going out at lunchtime to get a 6ft LED snowy silver birch for the hall even though we have no flooring and are unlikely to have before Xmas
Nov 5th takes care of itself – we usually have just a family outing to the…[Read more]
Hiya
nope and OH has ordered another from elsewhere promising overnight delivery. Hopefully there won’t be a delay getting a refund from the other!
Oh, wow, you must have a lovely spacious hall to accommodate such a tree – I’m sure we’ll all love your pics
Oooo, how many years?
Hope the liner arrives tomorrow then Jane. It is a right pain when companies let you down like that – you want to get on and finish the job before the weather changes
Got the tree at lunchtime – was stood for ages trying to decide between warm or cool white lights! Not taken it out the box yet but once it is out it will be out until Jan 6th

Oh lovely, happy early anniversary Jenn and OHoJ
Thank you Karen but if there is much more of this morning he will be enjoying his anniversary dinner through a tube in Addenbrookes
