    This stuff is awful and has a root that is quite thin but very difficult to pull out. It grows in a sort of circle. It has very tiny white flowers with yellow centre. In the enlarged photo, the yellow smudges are a couple of flowers. I’ve been pulling masses of it out of the lane. ID greatly appreciated. Jane :-)

    You’re absolutely spot on, Walt, thank you! I’ve just read on an agricultural site that seed gave 55% germination after 20 years!! Means I have to keep pulling it to get rid of it in the lane…
