I have for the last couple of years planted 3 of my hanging baskets with Petunias, some bought as small plugs and some I have grown from seed. However I am not sure if I am using the best varieties for baskets. Although my baskets have been ok the unusual strong winds and heavy rain we have had through August has just about finished them off.I was looking at the local councils tubs and baskets many of which are filled with petunias and they are withstanding the weather a lot better than mine, they appear to be smaller flowers than mine so I was wondering which are the best varieties for tubs and baskets. Gardeners world suggest multiflora type but I am not sure which they are
If anyone could offer some advice for next year that would be appreciated.
