I missed your post while doing screenshots.
Not really weird. Most browsers just cache web pages so they don’t have to go back to the server to retrieve them, and windows browsers were particularly bad. It’s just a question of saying “go and get the latest version of this webpage – NOW”September 21, 2019 at 7:48 am #65486
Just to let you know the photo comp pics do not seem to be staying put, Karen and this includes the attachment from you on Sept 18th aboveSeptember 22, 2019 at 12:05 pm #65512
Have tried my best to replicate this on various computers and browsers Jane, but can’t.September 22, 2019 at 2:01 pm #65513
Thanks for looking at it, KarenSeptember 22, 2019 at 7:40 pm #65528

Just looked at NT “Garden Today” and can see no pictures they are blanks but can see each one if I right click on it, Not trying to grumble at all, just hoping it will help you to find the problem.September 23, 2019 at 11:24 am #65538
Thanks Walt & Tubs, more info is always really useful to have. I’ll have a check round and see what I can find out, but think I’ll need Duncan @Duncan on the job.September 23, 2019 at 1:13 pm #65543
OK, would anyone that has been having problems check this out for me if possible please?
On either Chrome or Firefox browsers, with Windows 7 or Windows 10, the next time there is a problem seeing photos, go to the url address bar at the top of the browser (where it will say gardenclickers.co.uk etc). Then check if it is http:// in front of our site address or https:// (with or without an “s”). If it is without an s, edit the address and add an s and then hit return and see if the photos appear. If this sounds like gobbledegook don’t worry, but if anyone can try it the results would be useful to know. If you are unsure of editing the address bar this link should take you to page 2 of the competition.

Hi Karen using Chrome and Windows 10, when I get in, the url doesn’t show http or https and so I copied and pasted into Notepad and it’s https://gardenclickers.co.uk/groups/photography/forum/topic/september-competition/page/2/
Can’t see the photos apart from Al’s Storm brewing (page 1).September 23, 2019 at 2:40 pm #65546
Jane I know this sounds cracked but would you try removing the s in notepad and repaste it to see what happens please – if anything? No rush, just when you have time.September 23, 2019 at 3:08 pm #65547
Did what you said, Karen, from my own url link of 1.32pm above: copied and pasted it into Notepad and then deleted the s; copied and pasted that into a newly opened tab and could see all the photo comp pics; went to my Garden Today blog via Home from said photo comp page and found all the pics ok on the blog (not there when I checked following Tubs’ click earlier).
To double check, copied and pasted the url from the Garden Today blog (no http(s) showing) into Notepad and it’s http://gardenclickers.co.uk/2019/09/22/the-garden-today/
All a bit odd but it certainly workedSeptember 23, 2019 at 3:20 pm #65548
It is really odd, but there is something about it being either http or https – just need to work out what is happening – and why!
