    I read some time ago about Jays planting acorns – as a store for later and for that we have more oak trees around than we would have done – this year seems to have been a great year for acorns so perhaps these colourful acorn planters can plant a few more

    Have, unfortunately, already come across the oak trees’ deformed acorns, in the Country park Jane. One tree was so consistently full of ‘walnutty’ acorns that I wondered briefly and half-hopefully, if I had instead come across a different genus :-( :rose:
