    This is an amazing series of photos, more so for me as I worked in Yunnan for several years – but not in this area, I might add ;-)

    As you possibly know Jane, I have a soft spot for honey and I remember seeing a programme like this on TV some time ago … fascinating :good: and what lengths to go to, to acquire the stuff!! :lol: :rose:

    Hi Anne :-) I sent the link to a wildlife expert in Lincs who keeps bees and this is what he came back with: ‘I knew a honey hunter in West Africa who told me he always works naked – the reasoning being the bees get madder if they get stuck in your clothes. He dusted himself all over with wood ash and put on appropriate “ju jus”. Rather him than me!’

    Good grief! I love honey, but am not sure I would subject the wilderness or the bees to a naked Anne running about! :shout: :lol:
