    Goodness me!!! They obviously felt safe etc as that is a established hive.

    This takes me back. The local police used to come for my father every time they were notified of a swarm – but thankfully of nothing like this. Usually bees before they swarm stuff themselves with honey for the effort. This makes them very good-natured and placid and easy to handle – but these bees would be alert and defensive…..

    the chalet we stayed in back in May near Malvern had wild bees going in and out of the roof, I hope nobody disturbed them, often wonder if the roof is dripping with honey
