    I had this month’s topic idea while walking round the garden lamenting the dying flowers and foliage, crackly leaved shrubs and cracked earth.I know some of you don’t want to venture far in this heat so I would like to see photos of what is surviving happily :-) and what is not :-( in your gardens or lotties.

    My triumph has to be the cauliflower. Another 3 harvested yesterday and another 6 ready in a few days, I will post my utter disaster tomorrow :lol:

    I usually do well with sugar snap peas but this year they have been an utter disaster

    I’ve picked and eaten my first runners Walt – the plants look as though they are carrying potentially a very heavy crop as long as I keep watering them.

    I’ve got some coming on now but still not ready to be picked, no doubt they’ll all come at once, but certainly pleased seeing how dry it is up the allotment as can only water up there every other day :confused:
