Has anyone read this in today’s paper regarding poisonous courgettes? apparently dozens of people have been affected by these described as a rogue batch of homegrown courgettes. The 64-year old chap suffered sickness and diarrhoea and even hallucinations as a result of toxic squash syndrome. He only swallowed a small piece as ther tasted so bitter. He was so ill he lost 10lbs in 4 days. Most of the people had grown their own from seeds and 2 companies suspended the sale of seeds. I dont grow them as we are not keen on them but I know a lot of you on here do so beware.

Yes I read that too, bit worrying, so far mine are OK thank goodness, strange though still

It was just one seed company Frank. They put it out on the news quite a while ago and lucklily it wasn’t one of the varieties we grow.-
I hadn’t heard of this before reading it in the paper I thought it had just been discovered, typical papers.
